Sheridan Lake is located between Lone Butte and Bridge Lake on Hwy 24, and east of the community of 100 Mile House. Hwy 24 is 97 km long, stretching from 93 Mile on Hwy 97 to Little Fort on Hwy 5. Sheridan Lake is famous for its crystal clear water and abundance of rainbow trout, commonly weighing in at 3 to 5 lbs and going up to 16 lbs. Each year the lake is stocked with over 350,000 fish. The lake produces rainbow trout consistently May through October and fly fishermen are attracted to the many weed beds and islands.
Sheridan Lake features over 208 km of mapped and signed trails maintained by the Interlakes Snowmobile Club, the Sheridan Lake Quad Squad and The Friends of Sheridan Lake Society. These trails are suitable for hiking, mountain biking and ATV riding during the warmer months, and for cross-country skiing and snowmobiling during the winter.
During the summer, a farmers’ market held each Saturday at Loon Bay Resort is a popular attraction for both locals and visitors.
There are some 300 lakes in the area, most of them stocked with fish.
